Wayne was elected to his first term as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Grande Prairie-Wapiti on March 3, 2008. In addition to his role as MLA, he also serves as chair of the Cabinet Policy Committee on Resources and the Environment and a member of the Public Accounts Committee and the Standing Committee on Resources and Environment.
