The words teamwork, honesty, integrity and listening are very easy to say. Actually living the intent of these words in your daily actions is much more difficult to achieve. Wayne Drysdale lives these words, on a daily basis, as demonstrated by his actions. I can speak to this based on my ten years of experience with Wayne as I worked with him to ensure our communities were kept safe.
Wayne's leadership was instrumental and his commitment unshakeable when it came to achieving the safest communities possible with respect to the County, MD, City, as well as all of the Hamlets, Towns, and Villages of our region. A consistent and regional approach for all was the goal, and that is what was achieved.
Wayne didn't lead us through what it took to achieve our goals; he did something more powerful and more effective by sharing leadership responsibility with us, and working with us to achieve success. During this time Wayne always attempted to strike a balance between economic and environmental interests. I have known Wayne for over 13 years. He is very strong community leader who has been involved with many organizations in the area. Wayne is a very intelligent, honest, genuine person. He has the experience and knowledge in such a wide variety of fields and would do an excellent job.
One of Wayne's priorities is to ensure there is a long term care program for the elderly. With his many years of experience sitting on the Grande Spirit Foundation Board, Wayne understands the pressures of housing and care issues for the seniors. More long term care beds are desperately needed in the area especially as our aging population increases and the waitlists continue to grow for housing.
